Summary/Abstract: One hundred years ago, the two most influential works of modernist literature were probably published, Joyce's novel Ulysses and Eliot's poem The Waste Land. Leon Coen's new translation of Eliot's classic is a first-rate event for our cultural public. In addition to this, there are two more translations of Pusta zemlja, by Jovan Hristić and Ivan V. Lalić. After translating many poems from Baudelaire's Flowers of Evil, which he published last year on the occasion of Baudelaire's jubilee, Leon Kojen offered readers The Waste Land in the Serbian language in one year.
