Using students as field agents in social research - advantages and limits

Summary/Abstract: To use students as field agents in social research seam to imply some advantages, but also disadvantages. Objective: we were interested to study the impact of students used in field social research. Method: we analyzed 364 questionnaires, evaluating the number of errors made by the students. Results: descriptive statistics revealed the types of errors; inferential statistics revealed significant differences between students concerning the work style (individual or in teams) and sex. Implications: we made recommendations how to operate students' distributions in social researches and some directions of training.
