Summary/Abstract: The study’s main goal is to elaborate an assessment scale of the immoral behavior. After a qualitative exploration of immorality we have built a set of items, which have been administered to a sample of 350 participants. In order to process the data, we have resorted to the exploratory fact analysis. The resulting factors have been correlated with the California Personality Inventory Scales CPI 260. We have reached a structure of three factors of the immorality scale, which explains 42.45% of the data variance. The factors are: Machiavellianism, upstartism and opportunism. We have also reached a good internal consistency of the identified subscales and the global scale (Cronbach's alpha of the scales: .76-.80, global .90). The correlations between immorality factors and personality ones support the validity of our scale and highlight a profile of the immoral personality.
