Summary/Abstract: Starting with the beginning of the XVIIth century, the considerable development of Mathematics systematically monopolizes the research on the notion of the “infinite”. Taking into consideration the various meanings of the infinite in Blaise Pascal’s texts, a new and a very different way of approaching the infinite is emphasized. The main characteristic consists in keeping the infinite within its themes dimension. Thus, the means of knowledge remain marked by the paradoxical presence of the infinite. The digression shall be the most proper method in comprehending the theme of the “infinite”, since it preserves the way of manifestation of the infinite itself.
