Research methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, documents and results of educational activities, observations, questionnaires, method of expert assessment, methods of mathematical statistics. The level of the cadets’ self-educational competence formedness was assessed according to four components such as motivational-personal, cognitive-informational, operational-activity and reflexive-volitional. It was found that the cadets’ self-educational competence is an integral part of professional competence and at the same time an indicator of the success of their professional and personal development.
