Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to analyze and explain the structure and dynamics of latin american capitalism as well as to discuss its types. Capitalism in latin america is undoubtedly different from capitalism that exists in Western countries and thus, in the author’s view, it is pos- sible to talk about its “peculiarities”. the study also analyzes the main factors determining the varieties of capitalism in latin america. in order to present the economic structure, it is necessary to discuss the issues concerning the forces of production and the relations of production.
