Summary/Abstract: The development of technologies, media, the radical changes produced in the mentality of people and the way of perception of reality in the contemporary times, the new trends in the field of music, the modern pop-rock genres, etc have deeply marked the lyrical theater. The opera gradually expands its strict sphere of academic music with a largely homogeneous audience, moving into the sphere of academic-mass interference performances and being the target, thanks to new directorial and interpretive visions, to a much wider audience, a heterogeneous audience, in terms of knowledge in the field, musical preferences, age and even the level of culture and ethical and moral norms.
