Summary/Abstract: In the last two or three decades, attention has been focused on quality assurance and raising the standard of higher education through the higher education didactic training of instructors. In Switzerland, teacher training colleges remained independent and became the starting point of didactic innovation in higher education. After having established further training and higher education didactic centers and working groups at universities, a great choice of training courses occurred. The study presents what higher education didactic training courses are organized at four German speaking universities in Switzerland. The good examples of Basel, Bern, Luzern and Zurich serve as a lesson for the quality assurance efforts of Hungarian universities.
