Summary/Abstract: In contemporary culture we can observe a strong reaction against modernistic and postmodernistic processes of decarnalization. Especially in art the body returns as a real traumatic expression which seems to be released from symbolic repression. That emancipating attempt manifests itself in extreme provoking aesthetics forms of abject imaginary representations. Theorists like Julia Kristeva maintain that this is effect of patriarchal symbolic domination. It is not strange that this kind of bodily longing is particularly clear in works of these artists who don’t want to turn away their eyes away from the authoritative gaze of the Father. But is this the good way to get back to Mother`s material dimension or maybe this is a revenge of vagina dentata?
