Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to present and systematize the main factors influencing the birth rate in the countries of the European Union. The results of the research lead to the conclusion that in economically and socially less developed European countries it is necessary to implement a comprehensive policy to stimulate the birth rate among young people.
