Summary/Abstract: The persistence of a collective image on the foreign policy developed by the Eastern (Soviet) bloc in the second half of the 20th century, including Romania, or the attempt of the other scholars to indicate Romania as the “maverick ally” of the same bloc, didn’t permit a real analysis both internal and external of a complex and contradictory evolution of our country during the “communist epoch” (1947-1989).
