Summary/Abstract: The article contains an analysis of chrononyms motivated by the names of three Christian saints (George, Demetrius, and Elijah) in the Ukrainian dialects of southern Podlasie. The mechanism of the formation of this type of chrononyms was described. Practices, beliefs and norms related to these holidays were characterized. The folk calendar is presented from the perspective of the fusion of Christian elements and pre-Christian mythological beliefs (agrarian and breeding practices, beliefs, rituals).
