Summary/Abstract: According to the typically communist model of the debates that started at the top, in exclusive groups, and then went downward to the lower levels, on April 10-11, 1956 a meeting was held with the activists of the party in the Ministry of the Interior, where a debate took place on the report of the Romanian Workers’ Party (PRM) delegation to the 20th Congress of the CPSU: the heads of the various departments in the ministry had to engage in self-criticism (in the light of the new directives). So, many abuses that had taken place in the Ministry of the Interior came to the surface.
