Summary/Abstract: E-commerce takes place more and more in commercial life due to developing technology and consumers’ preferences in recent years. E-commerce has emerged as an eco-system due to digitalization, such as the ease of internet access for individuals, the increase in the intensity of internet use, and the increase in social media access and usage times. E-marketplaces, which stand out in the e-commerce eco-system, make significant investments in payment systems to expand their consumer base and increase the loyalty of their customers. E-wallet services offered in e-marketplaces are one of them. E-marketplaces, which offer money/points in exchange for electronic money in their e-wallets, offer their customers advantages such as participating in sweepstakes and coupons. The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate these applications of e-marketplaces that offer various wallet services, especially Trendyol Cüzdanım and Hepsipay Cüzdanım applications, which have come to the fore in the field of e-marketplaces in Turkey. In order to achieve this aim, the conceptual framework of e-commerce, e-marketplace, and e-wallets has been revealed and then the legal nature of the e-wallet service and advantages offered by e-marketplaces has been examined.
