Summary/Abstract: The most beautiful Qur’anic narration is the one about Joseph, peace be upon him, and the most frequent narration in the Qur’an is the one about Moses, peace be upon him. Considering the fact that these two messengers of Allah are close relatives, that both of them have an important role among the children of Israel, and that both of them were active in the area from Palestine to Egypt, there are many similarities and points of contact between them in the Qur’anic sayings. Joseph, p.b.u.h., brings the Israelites to Egypt, and Moses, p.b.u.h., takes them out of Egypt. The importance of family and family relationships is highlighted by describing the relationship between children and parents, brothers and sisters. Both messengers come to the Egyptian court, where the master’s wives play prominent roles. In the stories, we observe the following psychological states: parental love, sensual love, jealousy, envy, happiness, sadness, hope, fear, anger, etc. Joseph, p.b.u.h., begins his journey from the well into which he was thrown by his brothers to end up becoming a minister in Egypt. Moses, peace be upon him, begins his career in the Egyptian court and ultimately finds himself in the desert with his people. These narrations were intended to support and strengthen Muhammad, p.b.u.h., in his mission and to serve as additional proof to the Jews of Medina that Muhammad, p.b.u.h., is God’s messenger.
