Summary/Abstract: Thanks to the somatic lexeme used vein Czech žíla crystallizes in Czech and Polish phraseological units fixed and well-conventional semantic fields, which are an important element in expressing thoughts, pointing to the linguistic picture of the world of each national language. Various cognitive domains have been revealed, which, due to typological and genetically close linguistic relationships, indicate numerous similarities and similarities, although there are few exceptions to this rule.
