Summary/Abstract: The popularity of cooking shows lead us to considerations about the main values in our life. Taking the overconsumption into considerations, I try to prove how its mechanism has changed the way we think about traditional categories in our culture; and last but not least it has created a new ones: eg. "new nomadism" or "non-places". With the short analysis of selected cooking shows, I want to think over the main aim of this article - the home space. The last part of this paper, considers the transformations of "community" (eg. in the context of "liquid life").
