Summary/Abstract: The main aim of this article is to determine the influence of the Moore's Law on the field of consumption. The first part concentrates on the definition and perception of the speed in philosophy and culture (according to Paul Virilio, Jacques Derrida and Leszek Kołakowski). Afterwards the author considers the nature of the Moore's Law and its consequences (for example: the Post-PC Era, the new communication behaviors). The foregoing discussion has attempt to present the conception of "the slowdown" and the possibility to enable sustainable consumer habits (slow foods, slow jobs, slow fashion).
