Summary/Abstract: Language is the carrier of culture, culture is the treasure of language. Thanks to language, cultural heritage has been transferred from generation to generation. Some reasons such as the rapid development of technology and the modern world order have caused the postponement of cultural heritage. Intangible cultural heritage is valuable to society. Damage or loss of the intangible cultural heritage will adversely affect the future of society. It is vital to transfer our intangible cultural heritage to younger generations. The importance of transferring our cultural heritage has been mentioned among the aims of the Turkish course, which is the mother tongue teaching course. Accordingly, in this study, Intangible Cultural Heritage Attitude Scale was developed for secondary school students. The 30-item scale was designed in a Likert type with 4 options, taking into account the age and cognitive readiness of the students. A total of 355 secondary school students, 187 girls, and 168 boys participated in the study. SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 24.0 programs were used for the validity and reliability analyzes of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Attitude Scale. It was found that there were positive and significant (p < .001) relationships between the general and all three factors of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Attitude Scale. As such, the use of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Attitude Scale is deemed appropriate.
