Summary/Abstract: Ekavian-Jekavian speeches are considered to be speeches that have the dominant feature of Ekavian Yat substitution in long syllables and Jekavian Yat substitution in short syllables. Ekavian-Jekavian speeches in Bosnia and Herzegovina are territorially limited to the western peripheral area of Ijekavian-Šćakavian dialect around area of Tešanj and Maglaj, the village Rajševa near Teslić, as well as to the small part of Kladanj and Plahovići in its suburb. Moreover, there is evidence of such a speech in Bjelave near Sarajevo. This paper discusses the territorial distribution of Ekavian-Jekavian speeches in Bosnia and Herzegovina and their features.
