Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the author has tried to point out intercultural nature of Z. Džumhur’s travelogues, which is generally achieved through: (1) visual historical elements in a given place which the narrator describes by his travelogue, and which are only just a motive for travel story, as well as (2) memory or so-called “knowledge” of the narrator, or in the frames of all that is his awareness of certain individuals and events, which are, again, only a motive for development of fictional narrative. This approach to Z. Džumhur’s travelogues illuminates travelogues of this author in a slightly different way, presenting them, in the field of intercultural understanding, as an interesting and topical literature, as well as one of great importance
