Summary/Abstract: The region, also called Emlek region, is a geographical designation that expresses the area where Kızılırmak Valley is located between Yıldızeli district of Sivas and Akdağmadeni district of Yozgat. The region is located in the Yıldızeli – Şarkışla – Akdağmadeni triangle. This region is the region where the poets who wrote their names in the history of literature were raised. Aşık Kul Sabri, Aşık Yusuf, Aşık Hasan Devrani, Aşık Ali İzzet Özkan, and Aşık Veysel are all our important poets raised by this region. Ortaköy Emlek is one of the most important villages that live and keep alive the traditions of Alevi because it is the largest village in the region. For this reason, this village was chosen as the research area. This village was thought to be an important center for the study of Turkmen-Alevi culture. While determining the study subject related to the field, both the richness of the field in terms of culture and the lack of research belonging to "Transitional Periods" were taken into consideration. With this starting point, the subject of "Transition Periods in Ortaköy Alevis" was found worth investigating. In this study, the marriage ritual and marriage tradition, which mark an important stage of the transition period, are investigated, marriage age, spouse selection, see-through, asking for a girl, engagement, pre-wedding preparation, henna night, going to pick a bride, lowering the bride, and wedding rituals. The research was carried out within the framework of the "observation technique" and the "interview method", which is a field research method. The "unattended observation method" has been used in oral cultural environments and electronic cultural environments such as video sound recordings. Finally, it has been learned that the traditions and beliefs that start before birth and continue in the postnatal processes do not leave people alone, and even guide them throughout their lives. In the village where the fieldwork was carried out, it is seen that although the marriage, which is one of the transitional rituals, has changed its form compared to the past, it has preserved its essence in terms of content and preserved its vitality.
