Summary/Abstract: Tourism is a service-oriented sector that both creates a resource for many sectors and feeds from many sectors. In today's society, where it is not possible to find demand for every product and service produced, and consumers are now much more selective and fastidious, products and services that meet the needs and expectations of consumers are in demand. Therefore, it is necessary to produce, promote and market the goods and services that will meet the needs of the tourist in the most effective way. In today's world, where social and economic competition is reduced to cities, the concept of tourism marketing has become even more important. Now, cities are trying to come to the fore by increasing their competitiveness by using the right marketing strategies rather than countries in the field of tourism. Because a city's wellknown and effective marketing means that it can attract more physical and human capital. This means an increase in economic and social development. In this study, it is aimed to draw attention to the importance of marketing in the branding of the city by emphasizing the concept of tourism and cultural tourism marketing. In this context, Şanlıurfa, which is a very important destination in the fields of culture and gastronomy tourism with its historical bazaars, museums, unique rich cuisine, as well as in terms of faith tourism, has been exemplified in terms of city marketing and the tourism potential of the city has been tried to be introduced. In addition, it is thought that the part of the study that draws attention to the historical and cultural values of Şanlıurfa will contribute to the tourism of the region
