The work is a practical Arabic dictionary. The Yozgat copy that is the subject of the study consists of three parts: nouns, verbs and letters. The vocabulary of the Yozgat copy is quite remarkable. The copy consists of words in many different fields like concepts of time, sky, earth, mines, roads and journeys, water and aquatic creatures, plants, flowers, occupations, abstract concepts, religious terms, food, clothing, colors, numbers, kinship terms, kitchen utensils, animals, war instruments. The subject of the study is the bird names in the work. Birds are important in that they reflect the cultural and social life of the people living at that time.
