Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to present the sources of financing for social enterprises on the example of social cooperatives. Material and methods: The study analyzes existing data, i.e. publications related primarily to the financing of social cooperatives. Data from an interview conducted on the basis of a questionnaire with representatives of social cooperatives in the Lubelskie Voivodeship were also used to indicate the sources of financing used in practice. Results: The basic source of financing for a social enterprise, which is a social cooperative, should be business activity consisting mainly in the sale of services and products. Social cooperatives, as part of state aid, may obtain aid for setting up a cooperative or joining it after its establishment and for creating a job or financing wage costs. Conclusions: In recent years, social cooperatives in Poland can develop largely thanks to support from public funds, mainly UE.
