Summary/Abstract: Study objects are dialogues in French and English language learning systems. Studied are techniques of constructing dialogicity in them and the patterns of verbal behaviour recommended in tense, conflictual or apparently calm situations in which the 'ritual equilibrium' between participants is disturbed. This approach provides an opportunity to become familiar with the functioning of different communicative tools used to overcome difficulties in a real environment. The study draws attention to some cultural and interactional specificities of verbal communication that highlight common attitudes and skills of participants as well as communicative intentions and goals in different situations.
