RESCUE ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXCAVATIONS IN SIBIU, HUET SQUARE

Summary/Abstract: Started from a fortunate archaeological uncovers- medieval pottery dated at the beginning of the medieval settlement - the archaeological excavations in Sibiu, Huet Square touched the stone foundations of a circular construction. Inner the construction appeared a lot of skeletons. Even if the research is at the beginning, there are some features that relate the construction uncovered in Sibiu with the rotunde - baptistery uncovered in Orăştie, dated in 11th or 12th century.
