Summary/Abstract: The problem of the importance of the axiological foundations of the theory and practice of pedagogical activity has been and is an important research field of educators. The issue of values has a significant place in it. It is undertaken mainly as part of general pedagogy. The theorists of social pedagogy, building the theoretical foundations of shaping the educational environment, welfare, social, cultural and informal public education, refer to the problem of values from the very beginning of this discipline. How are values defined? How do they exist and what do they mean in social pedagogy? These types of issues constitute the main thread of the analyzes of the presented article.
