Summary/Abstract: The world has passed through a complex process involving deep structural changes and determining a series of interdependent phenomena with profound manifestations on many levels, meant to contribute to the creation of a political, economic and military order on the continent and all over the globe. Defense refers to a multitude of measures and activities developed at the level of the state in order to guarantee constitutional rights for the citizens. The army is valued both by the civil population and the political parties for its high civic and moral qualities and for its real support in need, in case of natural calamities or critical social situations.
