The political crisis and its logistic implications for international supply network

Summary/Abstract: International supply chains are exposed to many risks associated with geographically dispersed supply chain links. Securing their proper functioning especially in the face of political crisis becomes a challenge. An example of a conflict between China and Japan indicates what dangers causes an unstable political situation for worldwide companies. Preventing possible consequences of such conflicts is to implement supply systems which are agile and resilient to changes.
