Summary/Abstract: The study focuses on the ritual system connected with the traditional folk calendar. It unites the main spheres — material and spiritual of the national folk culture, comprehends the essence and content of such social and spiritual phenomena as feast days, rite, ceremony, ritual, symbolism. All of those actions are related to the Eastern Orthodox values and traditions, to the historical memory of Bulgaria, and reveal the specific basic concepts of the world, man and history.
