Summary/Abstract: Competency approach corresponds to the widely accepted general concept of learning outcomes in the form of competencies seen as "human capital indicators." Labor and technology environments emphasize the need for new competencies. When it comes to professional competence, most understand the availability of quality characteristics defining the efficient practice of a particular profession to successfully tackle typical tasks and problems in a real professional environment. Modern conceptions of professional competence include not just mastering the basics of a chosen profession, but also reaching the envisioned goals of personal development, individual specialization and a higher professional performance.
