Summary/Abstract: Author analyzes the legal limits, that have to be universally observed when applying the measures of public health protection authorities as tools to prevent the spread of diseases during the COVID-19 pandemic. It generalizes the universal legal principles that have to be followed in accordance with the European Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms based on experience from the procedures of the authorities in the Slovak Republic.
