AN INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO RUTH FAINLIGHT’S POETRY

Summary/Abstract: The paper entitled ,,An Interdisciplinary Approach to Ruth Fainlight’s Poetryˮ expands upon the sentimental journey taken by the poetess from the US to England, the attempt to integrate herself and her family into the British lifestyle and the fact that her writing is a form of art characterized by a high degree of awareness regarding her potential of poetically rendering the relation between the Self and the post-war British society. Antonio Sandu’s concepts of gnoseological presupposition and holistic epistemology have been turned to good account, both representing the source of a new type of humanism. These two conceptual instruments have been used as valuable methodological entries to Ruth Fainlight’s poetry.
