Summary/Abstract: It was found that the educational act within the Institutes preparing the future priests in historical Banat was difficult, especially due to the lack of textbooks for different theological subjects, in our case the Study of the New Testament. Students would study using only the notes dictated by the teacher priest in class, or using the aids that the students would copy at home. Textbooks in manuscript have been preserved since the beginning of the 19th century for various disciplines.
