Summary/Abstract: Pre-competition anxiety is considered a natural companion of every competition and marks anxiety which athletes experience before and during competition. There are individual differences in the perception of anxiety in competition situations like negative/positive for sports achievement. The best state of the body before and during a competition is a state of an optimal level of activation which is the product of good psychological preparation. There is interest for competing performance, physical and psychological preparation in cognitive and somatic state of anxiety, and like the perception of the direction of the appearance of anxiety. The often difference of successful athletes in contrast to those who are not successful is in the way in which they are caring the burden of anxiety in competition and the level of anxiety. There is a vast number of psychological techniques which enable to athletes appropriate adaptation on competing situation.
