Summary/Abstract: The subject of consideration is the earliest motherhood and fatherhood directly related to accompanying a child from conception. The aim is to present the process of growing a woman and a man to parenthood from the moment of conception to the birth of a child. The analysis of the literature on the subject allowed to conclude that nowadays, is increasingly considered are heard that motherhood and fatherhood begin at the moment of conception of a child, and not at its birth. Calling spouses the parents of a child in the prenatal period of life causes it to become a “full-fledged” child, not a “future” child, embryo or fetus. On the other hand, a woman and a man mature in their motherhood and fatherhood, and this process begins in both of them at conception, not at the birth of the child.
