Summary/Abstract: The study Documentary typology in the press from the period of the Great Union – The Brochure has an interdisciplinary character by a librarianship perspective approach for the brochure, as a bibliographic unit, in the press from the period of the Great Union. The objective is to identify, in the pages of the „Neamul Românesc” newspaper forms of promotion for the brochure and to analyze how this promotion is done, in the historical, social-political and cultural context of 1918, a crucial year in the history of the Romanian people. The documentary study was carried out to identify, analyze and explain how the concept of brochure appears in the pages of the daily newspaper, in the year of the Great Union. The promotion and advertising in the press from the period of the Great Union period not only reflects the editorial product itself – the brochure, as a bibliographic unit, but also builds the cultural value of the product in the readers mind, thus contributing to the phenomenon of literacy and culture popularization of post-war period.
