Summary/Abstract: In this paper there are presented some (outlined) data in brief, offered by Turkish historian Ertaylan in his book with the title: “Fatih and his invasions”, volume II, published in Istanbul in 1966. It is interesting to point out that Scanderbeg’s father, Gjon (John) Kastrioti (also called by the Ottomans with the name of Hamëz, in the sense of Lion - I. R.) is represented as a nobleman who is a wise politician and diplomat, in spite of the resistance that he carried out against the Ottomans, while his son Gjergj (George) Scanderbeg as a great strategist whom the Sultan named with the epithet Leka i Madh (Alexander the Great), but when he turned against him and the Ottoman Government, he called him with contemptuous epithets, like damn rebel and the traitor of the Ottoman Empire.
