Summary/Abstract: The article presents the profile and socio-political thought of one of the most prominent literary critics of the interwar period – Jan Emil Skiwski. Skiwski's fascination with fascist movements, pro-German views and cooperation with publishing houses supervised by the Nazi occupier caused him to be almost completely forgotten after World War II. Since the late 1990s, there has been a process of restoring the figure and works of the critic of Polish literary history. The present study is part of this effort and includes an analysis of Skiwski's views contained in his journalism from 1933–1945, along with an extensive bibliography of his publications from that period.
