Summary/Abstract: According to recent research, Digital Storytelling (DST) has evolved into an effective educational approach that can be applied for various purposes in the teaching and learning process. This paper promotes the use of Digital Storytelling (DST) both as an innovation for EFL (English as a foreign language) learning and as a powerful technology tool to foster digital literacy skills in a pre-service teacher education context. The research investigates students’ attitudes toward the implementation of a Digital Storytelling (DST) project into EFL classes, with a particular interest in the improvement of their English language and digital literacy skills. The participants (ca.70) for this small-scale pilot project were the undergraduate students of pre-service teacher education attending an EFL elective course. The project lasted for one semester and data were collected from students through a questionnaire at the end of the semester. The obtained data analysis will incorporate both quantitative and qualitative methods of research analysis.
