Summary/Abstract: There is a lot of scientific and professional theoretical evidence about the importance and role of social pedagogues in practice with socially undesirable behavior of children. On the other hand, there is less research on the methods and interventions that social pedagogues apply in centers for social work in the Republic of Srpska. This is a reason because the researcher was made a decision to analyze the context of the work of social pedagogues in centers for social work in the Republic of Srpska. A survey was conducted on methods and interventions applied by experts employed in social work centers in the field of juvenile delinquency. This paper presents the data on the work practice of social pedagogues in centers for social work which are have been separately analyzed. The key part of the work are the results that indicate the frequent use of interviews and observation in diagnosis and treatment, while other methods are less prevalent. Indirectly, data were obtained that show the low representation of social pedagogues as experts employed in centers for social work. Based on the obtained results, in the concluding part of the paper, the need to enrich and strengthen the practice of institutional social work with a social-pedagogical approach in working with juvenile offenders is emphasized.
