Summary/Abstract: The “oneiric group” and the “Literary school of Târgoviște” are two literary groups that emerge into the publishing world in communist Romania during the semi-liberalized period that stretches between 1964 and 1971, when literature is no longer only seen as a means to indoctrinate. This paper aims to examine the dialogue between the members of these groups before and after the fall of the communist regime by taking a close look at the letters exchanged between Emil Brumaru and Radu Petrescu, as well as between Dumitru Țepeneag and Costache Olăreanu.
