Summary/Abstract: The main part of this article consists of a translation of three sermons by Richard of Saint-Victor, an author who belonged to a long line of eminent intellectuals connected with the school, which had its roots in the abbey of Saint-Victor near Paris from the twelfth century onwards. These are the ninth, tenth and eleventh sermons contained by Richard in the tenth book of the second part of his encyclopaedic work entitled The Book of Excerpts; this tenth book is a collection of twenty-seven sermons. The proposed translation was preceded by a short introduction.
