Summary/Abstract: The paper examines the strategic impact of Ukraine-Russian conflict on supply chains. The strategic aspect of this impact is analyzed by referring to the supply chain design and structure. The initial research question is: "How do managers reconfigure supply chains in conditions of the intense geopolitical changes?". A cross-industry analysis of supply chain design is conducted in order to identify common (global) challenges, but also certain specificities for each industry. In addition to the results of the aforementioned comparative analysis, the paper also offers certain solutions for mitigating the economic and political events negative impacts on supply chains design and structure. Also, measures were proposed to overcome bottlenecks and stagnation in supply in the analyzed industries, including: development of more flexible, efficient and resilient supply chains, diversifying supply through cooperation with new suppliers, finding new export routes, building new partnerships. In this context, the paper provides a useful framework for managers to make decisions in a complex and volatile business environment.
