Summary/Abstract: At the turn of the twentieth century, two clerics would come to the fore in Banat society: Iosif Traian Badescu and Filip Adam. After a thorough education in renowned European centres (Leipzig, Vienna, Chernivtsi), they return to the community to shape generations and generations of young people within the Theological Institute of Caransebeș. This paper promotes the contributions of the two professors in the development of theological scientific research at the beginning of the twentieth century.
