Summary/Abstract: On the territory of our country, the concept of utopia / utopian appeared around the 19th century. Notable people of the time used them in the work, such as: Ion Heliade-Rădulescu, Cezar Bolliac, Ion Ionescu, led by Teodor Diamant who spread these concepts more verbally than in writing. Heliade-Radulescu was the image of the prophet, a representative of the supreme authority. His literary creation includes fragments of texts, epics under the biblical mantle. The decline of this writer can be observed around 1848, right at the time of his literary apogee. It makes the connection between the generations whose goal is national unity. The period of exile highlights the image of a messianic actor who is in the position of a genius not understood by those around him. In this article we turn our attention to the work ”Mihaida” by Heliade-Rădulescu, remaining also in the utopian sphere. If in ”Sînta” Cetate we identify a Christian and socialist type utopia, in ”Mihaida”, the central character is represented by the brave leader of the Romanian army in the battle of Călugăreni.
