Summary/Abstract: The present paper aims as a starting point the idea that an aesthetic perception of identifying the crisis of reality is represented by the poetic prophecy encountered at the congruence of the literary field with the religious one. This hypothesis will be applied to three literary texts by Ion Heliade-Rădulescu: Anatolida, Biblicele and Sînta Cetate. Through them, we will identify the image of a reality that has gone through a crisis of space and time. At the same time, we can speak of a religious, national or social crisis, delimiting the generic feature of prophecy and identifying in Heliade-Rădulescu the poet-prophet, a representative of that period.
