Summary/Abstract: The bases for the analysis of the subject were the statements of Romana Obrocka, Fr. Tadeusz Isakowicz-Zaleski, Anna Danilewicz, Bogdan Kasprowicz and other Eastsern Boarderlands researchers of the Armenian origin associated with Silesia. From the beginning of the 14th century, Armenians inhabited the eastern territories of the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. In Silesia, the Polish Armenians appeared in the 17th century with the rest of the merchants travelling these lands. After 1945, there could be observed a mass exodus of Polish people from the Eastern Borderlands. The Armenians were among the expelled ones, and together with many hundreds of thousands of people were resettled to Silesia by the decision of the authorities of the world superpowers. They were located in the Western Territories, mainly in Silesia. A large group of the Armenians from the east settled in Gliwice and Zabrze, as well as in Wrocław and Oława, where they form highly active diasporas.
