Summary/Abstract: Internet and social networks are fertile ground for the development of anti-vaccination attitudes. New media provide an opportunity for quick dissemination of easily accessible but often unverified information. Thus, the world wide web, its users, their behaviour and activities, are key research objects for anyone who wants to understand the roots and determinants of vaccine skepticism. The article presents the results of a sociological observation on one of the most influential Bulgarian Facebook groups, a community of users with a high degree of vaccine hesitancy attitudes. A few „working typologies“ of profiles are proposed as a result of the analysis. They are constructed according to the expressed key motives for refusal of vaccination and/or hesitant behaviour. Such typologies can be used in ongoing research focused on the influence of social networks on vaccination attitudes, as well as in the development of communication strategies within the framework of the national immunization policy.
